Damn, I have a friend in Del Norte. Getting pretty close to him. Used to vacation in colorado every year, south fork was always the stopping point to get used to the altitude.

I leave for Lake City on Wednesday (LC is the next town north of Crede on 149). My MIL drove up there just before the fire started.

One thing is for sure, no fireworks display in LC this July 4th.
Ronald Reagan:"Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it."

Homer: "Bart...there's 2 things I know about women. Never give them nicknames like "jumbo" or "boxcar" and always keep receipts...it makes you look like a business man."

I used to go to Southfork as well, there's great fishing in that area.

The west fork fire is 0% contained and now 70,000 acres

Praying for zero structure fires. The trees burning is necessary with all the beetle kill, just hope nobody suffers property damage

These fires are a direct result of bullshit forestry policy and stopping of individuals from harvesting dead lumber.

                        I agree with that.
