  • Owned it a year, first time to cruise around for no reason...

So the last year I've had my coupe mostly on jack stands replacing tons of stuff, trying to get it close to how I want it, with what money I had to spend on it. Well today marks the day where I can actually drive it legally (inspection sticker today) and I had no problems to speak of, at least none that would keep me from driving it while I solve them. The car still needs a ton of stuff, but at least it's drivable. I might even try to make it to some GTG's in it now, but first it needs a bath. I wasn't expecting to get to drive it tonight so it's dirty as hell, but figured I'd snap a few pics while I was out.

The paint is WAY worse than the pics make it look... there's no saving it. I have to take it down to metal and start over. Eventually I will, but that's way down the list right now.

Nice. I'm a big fan of the 85-86 taillights.

Thanks guys, it is slow... Seriously, still has stock heads.

I'll come to the Carrollton GTG if my buddy bails on me. He's supposed to bring his truck over to redo his brakes on Thursday night.

Shit, Ive had my 69 since 08 and the first time Ive taken it more than down the street and back or to the gas station was last weekend.

Car looks great, the wheels look so much better on it.

Thanks for the hookup on the wheels man, the last time I drove it anywhere out of my neighborhood really was when I brought it to your shop to swap the wheels. At least now I can drive it, but it does still need a ton of work.
