I haven't gotten a keg filled yet. I have a business trip that I have to pay out of pocket then expense out after so I'm watching my spending till after that next week.

I looked around a lot before I got this kit and the price differences I saw were mostly just options. The actual basic kit was still just the same with main difference being number of taps and one or two gauge regulator.

The big money is in regulators and the gas bottle. Well and then replacing kegs of course. If you are in Fort Worth then Two Bucks fills bottles cheap, my 5 pounder is $5. They also have more kegs in stock than anyone else in Fort Worth. Not necessarily all good beers but they have probably 5x the selection of Total Wine or Specs. Parkit Market in Dallas has everything though.

That tap will start sticking if you don't use it every couple of days btw. Perlicks are worth the extra money.

They charged me 5 for a 2.5 this weekend for some reason...They used to be cheaper, but its hard to complain, they're always very nice and fast.

As far as money I did the math. Ill basically break even on the first keg and almost half price after. This vs buying bottle of ziegenboch. I'm sure other beers will be slightly different but still close to that anyway

You probably aren't factoring in all that you'll waste as foam. That setup is pretty much the best way to do it but you'll still end up wasting at least a 6 pack before getting the pressure set correctly, plus the learning curve for anyone that hasn't poured beer before.

With half barrel kegs though and especially Ziegenbock it's way cheaper to do draft. Don't pay a premium for it btw, Ben E Keith sells it cheap. It shouldn't cost much more than PBR or Coors Light and should be cheaper than regular Bud or Coors.

I haven't priced around yet but I know it's 106 at albertsons. I've been told I can find it under 100.
