I'm betting that isn't the only slimy gash you've had between your legs. Hey-o!

True. But hopefully your mom got that cleared up by now.

It thrashed around for a few minutes and disappeared. I didn't stick around.

If you know where Lake Elsworth is, me and some friends were jumping in and out of the dam runoff pool, a man fishing there said "you boys need to get out of there, theirs fish in there that can eat you". We just thought he was just being shitty about us disrupting his fishing. Well, he caught a 7 foot gar from that same place we were just swimming in while we were there. So nope, nope nope.
That makes more sense. Sounds less like an attack and more like you scared the hell out of it. Gar are an nuisance, but they aren't near the monsters that they have been made out to be. I wouldn't mind scuba diving with one, so long as the water is of decent clarity. I have a trip to bull shoals lake scheduled for July and I hope to see one while diving.

We snag those ugly fuckers on the Missouri

On the dams, you can see big ones in the tail races at the dams

but, against the law to snag them there

Biggest I have seen is about 4 foot long

Dude, I worry about my family every time I go. My grandmother lives in the Waterford subdivision between Tomlinson JHS, and the Walmart, and my uncle lives on the other side of Sheridan, and every time I visit, I think, "Damn! The hood has them surrounded."

That's a good neighborhood she's in. I have two shops not even a block away from there. It's not to bad here, just like anywhere else. It's wannabe gangsters killing wannabe gangbangers here.

This, I have a 3yr old as well and the time is flying by.

I had a needle nose gar jump in my tube with me while floating the Guadalupe a few years back, only about 1 1/2 long one.

while on the subject of shit-holes, I was talking with a guy that is in southeast oklahoma, the "arklatex" area is where my now ex-stepmom's family was from. I spend weeks up there in the summers, went up on weekends, etc when I was growing up. It was the dont lock your doors at night type area.

This dude just told me that the whole area had gone way down hill, chrime was higher, etc. Just a product of the economy taking a dump? What gives?
