It thrashed around for a few minutes and disappeared. I didn't stick around.
If you know where Lake Elsworth is, me and some friends were jumping in and out of the dam runoff pool, a man fishing there said "you boys need to get out of there, theirs fish in there that can eat you". We just thought he was just being shitty about us disrupting his fishing. Well, he caught a 7 foot gar from that same place we were just swimming in while we were there. So nope, nope nope.

We snag those ugly fuckers on the Missouri
On the dams, you can see big ones in the tail races at the dams
but, against the law to snag them there
Biggest I have seen is about 4 foot long

while on the subject of shit-holes, I was talking with a guy that is in southeast oklahoma, the "arklatex" area is where my now ex-stepmom's family was from. I spend weeks up there in the summers, went up on weekends, etc when I was growing up. It was the dont lock your doors at night type area.
This dude just told me that the whole area had gone way down hill, chrime was higher, etc. Just a product of the economy taking a dump? What gives?"If I asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses." - Henry Ford
