I posted this earlier on the Garage Journal forums.
I bought my house last summer but I've been too busy with a new child and getting other things in order to bother with the garage. So far it has been good enough to just get both vehicles in there.
Well, things are about to start changin' It started last week with the purchase of a new tool cabinet from Harbor Freight. I've gotten as many tools loaded in there as I can at this point and I still need more room. But it's a good start. I also found a wall locker on the side of the road. I'm going to have it sand blasted and powder coated next week to match the new tool box. Then I'm going to install some shelves and store my higher end tools in there.
Then it'll be time to build a new workbench. I'm planning to hand build a new Roubo workbench like the one you can see here: http://www.finewoodworking.com/item/...ed-roubo-bench
So now with the pictures:
At the very least, I can get both vehicles in there. It takes great feats of daring to back that truck in. I have get the rear bumper within 2 inches of the back wall or the garage door won't shut.
Old and busted next to the new hotness. My old toolbox has already found a new home.
This is the wall locker I'm going to have stripped and powder coated next week. Just a little surface rust but otherwise in great condition.
The new hotness in its new home. Obviously I've got a lot of cleanup to do here.
I'll be posting updates as they happen..
