The TIV is a home made tank truck. I think the newest one is made from an F-350 dually and armored up with heavy steel and bullet resistant windows. There are also hydraulic panels that are lowered to the ground to keep the winds out from under it while metal spikes are driven into the ground to hold it in place.

I would gladly ride it into a tornado with them. If you ever watched Storm Chasers on Discovery Channel then you have seen the TIV.
