Parked in front of a local business on Friday was the Dallas Zombie Patrol, Alpha Unit 01982, carrying a Zombie Outbreak Response Team. In reality, two vendors stopped by the shop for a few minutes and parked in front of a body shop. One man said the vehicle was originally a Subaru hatchback cut down to a truck configuration and a deck lid added to the back for easy transportation of materials. He said police officers "stop us all the time so they can take a picture" of the vehicle. The vehicle was originally built in response to the Dec. 21, 2012 end-of-the world fad "so if there were Zombies, we could just run over them," said the driver of the vehicle. The Zombie Apocalypse never happened.
