Welcome to my channel! My name is Katie Sunshine and I'm a professional hoop dancer and instructor. What started as a hobby in 2008 quickly became a passion and eventually a business venture as well. I was first inspired to pick up a hoop after seeing a girl dance with a hula hoop at Harvest Music Festival in Ozark, Arkansas. I was so entranced by her I was immediately inspired to try it out for myself. I bought a hoop, started practicing in my front yard, and quickly fell in love! My mission is to make that same experience possible for anybody. I hope to inspire others to try hooping, be it for health and wellness or purely as a hobby. Hooping has truly changed my life and I believe those who try it can experience the wonderful benefits hoop dance has brought to me.
