About 10 yrs ago a friend of mine built a fox hatch as a drive anywhere street car that could do some drag racing.

Carb'd, 200-250 hit nitrous(don't remember exactly), ~7800rpm 302, full weight, 5spd. Don't remember what the best ET was, but the first night at Ennis after the build it trapped 132.

I guess the trans was pushing it for a "drive anywhere street car" it had straight cut gears. Tremec tko? modded by liberty transmissions.

Car put a hurtin' on my bike with me sitting shotgun and my hot-shoe buddy on my bike.

Pretty impressed with a 331 making 500 to the ground all motor. (If that's really the case)

With the audible rpm in the video, I'd say its a balls out 331, 500whp isn't impossible, just very expensive and tedious.
