That's the scariest thing about land surveying, I've been back in north Louisiana working off and on for the past two years and you worry about copperheads and cottonmouths. Did a couple of hitches in west Texas/New Mexico and have to worry about rattlesnakes. Probably the biggest pain in the ass of my job during the summer is keeping an eye out for them.

When they gave me the shots to numb the area, that was some of the most excruciating pain I've felt.
I can't imagine what this guy went through, hopefully they put him under or atleast fed him pain meds through an iv.
Wonder if maggot treatment would work, rather than what they did here.
I had a really bad boil on my right calf and went to get it lanced. Same shit, I bout ripped the side rail off from the hospital bed when they gave me the local. On top of that, the local didn't do jack shit, I still felt everything, definitely in my top 2 pain list.

When I tried to stand up after surgery to remove some of my intestines and when they pulled a lymph node drain out of my lower abdomen. Picture a drain that is roughly the size and shape of a popsicle stick that goes all the way into your lower abdominal lymph node, then give it a week for skin to grow around it, then have a doctor rip it out with no painkillers.

They need to add some maggots to the wound.
