        Chernobyl is still in use. It's an active power plant.

            Really? I was setting up a trip to Pripyat in 2009 and they were still there. It appears they plan on the plant being fully evacuated in 2022.

                They are still there cleaning up and building the new containment dome. But they stopped producing power years ago.

                  It's been awhile since I've gone through them, but I seem to remember there being actual pics of her bike, too. I remember there being a lot of controversy on it they were legit or not. I didn't think they were doing tours that far back.

                      Hanford shut the last reactor down in the late 80's, but the plant clean-up is slated to go until almost 2030.
