Anyone got love for old Mopars?

    Looked over several of their cars, rattle can resto sums it up. They do have a few better quality cars now, but over all I still wouldn't trust them.

      Isnt it under $10k? Never looked that close at it but saw it across the warehouse. Most of the cars there look rough but cleaned up a lot or partially repaired. Budget musclecars instead of barrett jackson hoopla.

        It is under 10k. However it will likely take half that again to make it presentable. Plus a /6 Scamp or Valiant is not going to be a B-J car.

        There are way better cars out there for around the same money. Just have to like the car and not see it as an investment. You can spend 5k for a project Scamp/Valiant or Dart. Then spend another 20-30-50k and still end up with a 10-15-20k car.

          Yeah, you would have to love the car for you.

          I spent some time looking over the cars up there about 5 months ago. Even looked in the second warehouse. I've followed their site for a couple years. The lead sales guy said they move 40-50 cars a month through there, yet there are cars on the site that have been there for over a year. I saw at least 3 people in the front office and probably 4 or 5 in the work bays. I don't believe the 40-50/mo and I'm thinking 10-15 at best. Figure in the rent on 3 buildings and I can't see how they make money at all. I met the money guy behind the operation and he was a typical slick wheeler dealer but I don't see where the money comes from unless he is picking the cars up for $0.10 on the dollar. He is sitting on a ton of inventory that isn't moving.

          I too might question the quality of some of the cars based on what I saw but the funny thing is I used to look at the site every other week. After going and seeing things first hand, I haven't looked since.

            If you guys are looking for cars that are actually pretty nice, try Classical Gas in south Arlington.



            Most of their stuff is bought to flip, but the owner is a Mopar NUT. He has a badass blown '70 GTX, a survivor '66 Hemi Charger, and a nut-and-bolt rotisserie resto Sublime 340 Duster that is a multiple award winner (if you're into that kinda thing).

            Anyway, it's run by some cool guys that are just having fun with cars and they have some neat stuff to look at. Some is crap, some is good, but I think that's the case everywhere.

                  Everyone is obviously entitled to their opinion but anyone that knows us up here knows we are not liars or "slick wheeler dealers". We are real car guys that love old cars and happen to be fortunate enough to make a living doing what we love.

                  Typically we do not sell "restored" cars but drivers that usually need a little TLC like most old, unrestored cars. We do get in some really nice stuff from time to time but we really try to fill a niche market of lowered priced drivers that regular guys can afford. We also do not restore cars, just sell them. And I will agree that we see all kinds of crazy stuff done to these cars but it is what it is. We could run up a huge bill trying to change everything and then price them right out of the market. Again we prefer to keep the prices down and let the customer decide what they want to spend the money on.

                  Now as for the statement about how many cars we sell, we usually carry about 160-190 cars in inventory , selling 40-60 a month. Last year in may we did sell 72, but typically the number averages around 50. Anyway we will be happy to help anyone if they have any questions, please feel free to PM me or come see us.

                      Are their prices asking prices or firm prices? The 3rd gen Iroc stood out as ridiculous considering the mileage but with a new crate motor and new paint. $22k??! Maybe there are errors in the ads or the cars are on consignment and that is what the owners want if they were to sell?

                      Looked at a few other cars and prices seemed really high for the economy right now but maybe there are people out there paying those prices....if so, I need to find a way to liberate some of that cash from them!!!

                        Maybe be a little more forthcoming with the details of a car, I actually like the Scamp a lot and have been tempted on a few ocassions to make the drive again, but it's still overpriced for what it is, a repainted origianl 6 cylinder car. Now the '71 Road Runner, that appears to be a very different story. If I'm decoding the tag right, that car looks to be very close to original specs, and one of my favorite body styles!

                            Yeah its funny the 71 roadrunners have really come on in the last few years. 10 years ago you could not give them away and now they are bringing close to the 68-70s. I also have a 71 charger, matching numbers factory black car coming in that I can't wait to see. The butter scotch colored roadrunner is a nice , fairly correct car. We show right up front what works/doesn't and if you ever have a question about something feel free to get directly a hold of me.

                              I had a '72 big block Charger back in the day as well, always kind of liked that body. I'm heading on a road trip the 13th, may have to stop in a look around a little on my way out of town.
