    • I think it looks bad ass! Making me want to add another A body to the garage already and I haven't taken delivery of the Scamp yet.

You should have told me earlier. I just sold off over 20 Mopar projects.

        • Looks good

I myself prefer the no stripe look

          but, either way

That color works on that era car,
too often someone paints something that they should not those high impact colors

          • The color is the factory color FJ5 that it left the factory with. I just went with the 71 paint scheme instead.

That is why I built this one for fun.../6 car that now has a few upgrades!!! But I am sure my wife will enjoy the car anyway.

He also did not like the Mopar door latch. It had a gate latch drilled into the drivers quarter trim panel to hold the drivers door closed!! lol

There is a crazy story that goes with the car. My dad and I found the car while looking for parts for the red Dart in 2005. It was not even daylight (pic above) and the pic you see is from the truck we were in. We could only tell the car was originally lime green. We waited until daylight and got in touch with the people that lived across the street from where the car was sitting. They took our contact info and passed it along to the people that owned the property where the car was sitting. The cars owner had passed and the family did not want the car. So we asked if they would meet us to look it over. The lady taking care of the estate said..."This is the price. If you want it come pick it up and I will meet you with the title. If you don't want it, fine". Well the price was good and I knew it was likely an original high impact colored car. So I was in hopes it was a 340 car.....:fingers crossed:..... Well it was a couple of weeks later when she could meet. I had to be back in Corpus where I lived by then so my Dad and brother went to get the car. They showed up and the car was missing the right front suspension and wheel. The interior was FULL of junk and more than a few rolls of toilet paper. My brother called and told me what I bought.... I was bummed it was a /6 car but when my wife saw it was an original green car. She claimed it as hers so we held onto it and started gathering parts. The seller actually wanted to give me part of my money back when she saw the condition of the car. However the purchase price was way more than fair anyway so I declined her offer.

                        • I was trying to make a Dodge/Plymouth collection.

                          A Dodge and a Plymouth A body
                          A Dodge and a Plymouth B body
                          A Dodge and a Plymouh E body
A Dodge truck and a vintage Dodge race hauler

Well I bought all but Dodge E body. I got the two A bodies and the Dodge B body redone and decided not to do any more cars. I am done. Going to enjoy what I have now. Sold off all but 3 project cars and 4 parts cars.....

                          • I wouldn't mind adding a truck to the stable at some point. '64 would be nice, but I would settle for a nice Lil Red Express too.
