Not really. IF someone is that big of a danger to society, they should be executed. There's no hope for rehabilitation, so the concept of the prison doesn't make sense.

Well, in prison then they have nothing to live for - so they are extremely violent for "respect" they receive and all that crap.

That really only applies to people with life sentences. The way I see it is if the populace is going to pay for you to live the remainder of your life, you need to produce something for their money. License plates, whatever... you need to give back something if you're going to be alive. I personally don't understand why people condemned to never be released do nothing but eat and breath our money away.

Concur, but that's mostly what was in the video and we DO have a lot of people like that in US prisons.

Either way, I do agree - but it's a privilege that they'll exploit and lose or never earn. Then what? I should not say all the lifers would be that way, but at least some of them would.

Personally, I'd like to see all prisoners forced to work for the state they are located in. I'm not saying everything has to be hard labor (although, I'm not against it either) - but certainly tasks that subsidize their incarceration or provides cheap goods to the state. i.e. farms that produce goods that people can buy. SOMETHING.

I just feel there should be something in place for people who have life, are not going to get death - that deters them from f'ing up again while in prison. All my ideas are "inhumane" to a lot of folks. The problem is, a lot of folks don't understand that a lot of them are not humans - they are just monsters that are a drain on our taxes. (Talking the major felons (rape, murder...yadda yadda.) here - not your everyday criminal or loser)

I also don't feel that people understand how jacked the prison system really is in this day and age. With all their "rights" they run gangs, commit murders and so on. Hell, the run drugs in there still. NONE of that should be happening. A little military oriented discipline could be used in prison. No talking, formations, no loitering...etc

The companies who run the prisons make their money keeping inmates locked up and getting the largest operating budget possible. They are also concerned with repeat customers so of course the conditions are not going to be bad enough to really deter future business.

The full video is on netflix. In one scene you can see one of the inmates has a rush of fear over his face when a particular prison guard walks into the room.

Motherfuckers should be scared. It said that the average is around 5 murders average per inmate. And that one asshole, after killing his neighbor was giving away human meat for consumption to his friends and family, fuck'em...

Its better to keep them locked up like animals, so they can tell the rest of the heard whats going on and it will deter most crime im sure. And it keeps the MAN in business.
