Great thing was it didn't bend one valve, but while I was at it I did replace the valve seals. Just going to lower it and maybe some wheels later and add a sentry gun to deter theft.
    whats a sentry gun?

Also buy 98-01 taillights rear & front bumper and 98-01 headlights and boom you basically have the 2001 exterior! (minus the mirrors but most cant tell)
get some gsr blades for it too!

It's a remote turret that automatically locates and eliminates targets lol.

I did want the all red tail lights but didn't want to pay what people are asking. I picked up a set of white/ red/ orange for $30. No way I was going to even drive it with the altezza lights it had. I do want blades when I find a set that's priced well. As for the exterior if I do anything it would be a type r lip and maybe a spoiler. That I'm still mulling over.

I'm even looking at basic Civics. Looked at one yesterday, an 05, in supposed great conditionand it has a shitty paint job.

Looked at another 05 today with a mint interior and exterior. I even asked about dings on the phone before driving 45 minutes and he said it was mint. To me, mint does not mean hail damag on every panel.

        • Bought one today. A 2000 Civic Sedan with a fuck ton of miles, but it's relatively clean and it'll make a mighty fine money saver.

Sooooo. This thing has some lower springs on it and some of the "waves" in the highway are pretty jarring. Any particular shock setup I should go with?

Checking into it, does $300 sound right for the struts? I guess it would be helpful if I figured out what springs were on the car. I'll check em tomorrow.

The stock springs are in the trunk, though i've never had good luck cutting on stock ones.

                  • so my timing belt broke this week! BOO

car uses a bit of oil anyway so im going to put a jdm gsr swap in it

been looking around on c-list and have seen a couple stores that offer "Low mile" longblocks.. Has anyone had any luck with these?
im going from a usdm b16a to a jdm b18c1 (99-00 civic si motor to a 96-01 gsr motor). is everything plug and play of am I about to need some wiring god to get me through this? The motor im buying is complete from valve cover to oil pan still has the dizzy, injectors, intake etc.. (of course ill be putting on a new timing belt, water pump, cam seal etc before the install)

reason im doing this is my 00 civic si broke the timing belt this week

                    • What are you doing with your b16 after you drop the GSR?

                      • I don't see why it wouldn't be a direct swap. They use all the same sensors and actuators. There are some minor dizzy changes and a couple plug changes but should pretty much drop in and fire up easy enough.
Good judgment comes from bad decisions and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.

                        • Just check and make sure your ecm is compatible. Its been a while since I was into the Honda scene but I've swapped a couple gsrs into the eg chassis. Going from one VTEC to another shouldn't change much of anything except the ecm. My .02 if you use one of those engines MAKE DAMN SURE it gets a new timing belt, tensioner and water pump.

pull the head, check for valve/piston damage, then sell it complete
