              If I recall correctly, no one is allowed on deck during a live fire. It would blow them off the ship, if not kill them. Everyone is indoors and all hatches are sealed.

              I can't wait to see what the Navy's rail guns can do in combat. Those have the potential to give us even more firepower

                        Fair enough. My dad told me a story bout being under on the Pulaski when the mo did a training broadside. Said it shook the boat sittin 75ft down. Power for sure.

                              Toured the alabama yesterday...lots of shells on display but probably inert. They had some chained to the planes to keep them from getting stolen! 2750# ea.
