  • New project - '82 Capri RS

This car was for sale on FEP back around Christmas, guy bought it (he's deployed) and decided after the fact to get a new '13 GT, so put it back up for sale, having never actually seen the car. He PM'd me over at FEP to let me know he was going to sell it, I arranged to look at it and made a deal.

The car is a now 3 owner car, sold locally at John Eagle Lincoln Mercury and lived it's life in Waxahachie. It has about 54,000 miles on it now and judging by the interior, I'd say it's accurate.

Typical 80's Ford silver paint, there is no shine left and some fade through on a few hard edges. Going to leave this one pretty much as is, just clean her up, detail her a bit, then think about paint.

Got her home this morning and gave her a good hosing down, just to get the leaves and tree sap off of her. Drove like a champ all the way home, just about 1 mile exactly, LOL!

Also received a copy of the original invoice, showing Eagle Lincoln Mercury as the buying dealer. One owner, locally bought, lived it's whole life right here in the Metroplex!

That's awesome! To bad it's not a bubble back though. I had an 82 Mustang the same color and the same wheels (hubcaps?) except I had T-Tops. Nice find.

I had that exact same car (same color, options etc...). Had a lot of fun with it.

Cool car! You look like someone that needs a Mustang II to round out the collection!

There was a REALLY nice Mustang II fastback at the Lonestar Park swap meet yesterday for sale...it was a 6 cylinder but appeared to be either restored nicely, or it was garage kept and never driven.

Yeah, an unrestored original 2.8/auto. I saw it. Denny's is nicer by a mile.

Do you still have the II? I thought it sold before you left. If I had more room for cars, I'd love to have it. As it is, I'll probably sell the coupe now just to have the RS in the garage.

It was in the hatch, stuck it back on this afternoon.

I sold my bubble to Kyle, I believe its still for sale on here. I like the bubbles for sure, but have been wanting a flat hatch again for a while now. My first brand new car was an '81 Capri.
