Who knows about these things? Friend's dad picked them up not long ago and we didn't know much about them. All I knew was that they quit making 3-wheelers a long time ago. Didn't know if they were worth anything or worth trying to fix up or what
I've got a Big Red 200, and a Big Red 185. 86 and 85 model respectively. I've also got an ATC70.
Unless it's an R model (those aren't), they aren't worth shit. As others have said, the suspensions suck. Because they don't exist (except on the R models). It's all rigid. They are dangerous as hell, but they can be fun. Just don't push them to do things they can't do, like jumps. I've wrecked mine many, many, many times, and never had any really serious injuries. I've had to get stitches a few times though. And I know a lot of poeple that have really fucked themselves up on them.
If he's interested, I'd sell both of my larger ones.

But, just like condoms and women's rights, I don't believe in them.
Running in fair shape I'd say $4-500 at most. A farm or ranch would use it. I rode a big red 200 for a while that we bought wrecked off a buddy, he hit a car with his sister on the back and bent the frame and broke his sisters leg. Bought a good frame off another another friend to make it a rideable trike again. We sold it to a ranch for @ $400 years ago. They are a lot of fun if you respect them and don't push them past there limits and use as stated above.
Put V-8s in both of them. Fun for the whole family.

Go back to the pond it looks like they were sitting at the bottom of & see if you can find the missing parts.

Throttle broke on mine when I was a kid, just as I was going around a tree, near a bob-wire fence. Crashed into it, I had to be cut out and still have a scar on my leg from it.
