It takes lots of groove to meet the metronome time, lots of feel to sync with the metronome and lastly lots of emotion to perfect his ability to play with the metronome at that speed and accuracy.

That's not exactly what I'd call groove. Groove is the ability to lag behind or sit in front of the beat and do it intentionally; what you're talking about is merely internal time, which is exceptionally difficult to do at that speed and shouldn't be overlooked, but I'm not sure I'd call it groove.

Man, I'm all for jazz, fusion, groove, funk, whatever you wanna throw at me. I love it all, music is a staple in my life. Sometimes it's just nice to let it all hang out with some speed metal and let your brain melt and not pay too much attention.
