Marco Minnemann, Guthrie Govan and Bryan Beller are The Aristocrats. Pretty cool drum intro, featuring a chick drum ensemble.

How do we forget ourselves? How do we forget our minds?

I don't even know where to begin with that, the best part of that was when he stfu and let the drummer play a regular beat, I especially liked the portion where he was using the ghost notes, it had a good groove.
i really, REALLY like this guy!

I'm not into the speed metal drumming. I guess fast double bass and repetitiveness does nothing for me.

If you want more of the band without the singing/screaming try this, full ep being drummed without any lyrics.

And some people might like this. The same bass player from btbam posted above, different drummer, and a saxophone added in. Kind of jazz fusion type of work.

                  Jazz or fusion. Not both.

Jazz is the one place where I'm prepared to back that claim up, at least against this crowd.

That said, fusion doesn't always suck (the more funk influence the better), but jazz it ain't. Also, I'm contractually obligated to be needlessly pedantic.

I'm just not big on naming specific types of music, I guess.

Fine, this thread needs more Purdie shuffle. lol
