sweet looking truck! I'd like to do a S10 Blazer 4wd with a 5.3 4wd setup except I would lower it and make it more All Wheel Driveish. What mounts and headers did you use?

Cool build! Nice and clean too. I say keep the draglites for track duty and throw on some ZQ8 wheels to go street hunting, maybe even a ladder rack for good measure

I used the carshopinc headers and mounts off of ebay. They come with all the hardware and gaskets. I used the mls gaskets for the head side of the header, I've read they are far superior to anything else. Had no trouble with fitment. The two areas I did make changes to were, clearancing the a/c box to clear the coilpacks by refiberglassing the box and the other was to use the smaller pullied v-6 powersteering pump to clear the ps box. The v-6 pump was able to bolt to the 5.3 bracket with very little modification.

Will you have to notch the frame for the AC compressor? Or is it necessary with the mounts you bought?

I did notch the frame for the a/c compressor but I decided to use the one off of the v-6. It will be mounted high on the passenger side and I believe that the hoses off a 94 will allow me to connect it without custom building anything.
The ps pump is the same one that was used on the 2.8 v-6. With a small amount of trimming, it bolted right to the accessory bracket. I gained a bit of room because the pulley is smaller. Just needed a shorter belt.

And I'm not sure about the Ranger. It is really too clean to tear apart right now. There is a lot less room in that truck as well. It is very reliable and I am gonna wait and make sure the s10 is too.
That's right, I forgot about that! Truck looks good, makes me miss my 1st gen
