Just a couple of pics of a truck I just finished and am driving now. Put a 5.3 and 4l60e in it. Gotta put my 8.5 in it and mount the a/c compressor but that's about it. I bought a donor and swapped it in. The tranny is new but the motor has 242k on it. Never know it though. Sitting next to it is my Splash, 1994 with 80k on it and my 03 Cobra with 21k. If anyone is building one of these or wants to know what parts I used, just ask.

Swap your 97? It's silver right? I tried to get up there to buy your truck about a year ago. This is what I would have done with it. I just couldn't find the time to go see you. And I'm not sure about the Ranger. It is really too clean to tear apart right now. There is a lot less room in that truck as well. It is very reliable and I am gonna wait and make sure the s10 is too.

Thanks guys. I still have to put the 8.5 rear in it. Right now it has the 7.5 and 3:73s in it. It will still smoke that drag radial at 40. Can't wait to get a posi.

The wirring is tucked in nice like it is factory.

I will take some pics of the inside and post them soon. I do drive this truck everyday. It has 3:73 gears and 28" drag radials and I have managed about 22 mpg. Thanks again for all the compliments.

only 22? I was hoping for more! I get 22 out of my 2.2L. I have an 03, and the plan is for a 5.3/6 spd swap and an explorer 8.8 rearend

Well, I only work 7 miles from home. 2 of those miles are on the highway, the rest are in town. I really haven't been anywhere to check it on the highway.
