I wired the gauge panel and installed it to crimp weatherpack plugs. Still need to figure something out for the turn indicator illumination so it will be coming out again. The intake tubing and filter came so I got that worked out. I will be making a shield/box within the fender to protect the filter from water and dirt. We found out the vacuum wiper motor was bad so picked up an electric motor from a Jeep XJ to install. My Dad just about has that done along with everything else under the dash.

I finally started back on the exhaust and just about have it completed. I found an alright deal on hubcaps and they arrived today. The factory color for them is argent with red lettering for 55 so thats what they get. New set of tires for the rear also showed up this week.

At this point I dont have much confidence in my ability to hand fill something like that. I did order some paint and a brush to practice with so we will see. There is also the concern of a gloss enamel looking a bit strange against the matte cap.

After the red cures scuff it with a grey scotchbright and it will kill the shine.
I have been thinking about doing a truck like that. If I do I have decided to move the front wheel/wheelwell forward a few inches, it's the only thing that bothers me on those trucks.
