I think we found a nice compromise between slammed and remaining drivable. The rear notch is minimal and will allow stock bed depth.

I dig the hell outta this. Nice to see something that probably worked tirelessly, appreciated. What were y'all doing on the inside?

                really appreciate the compliments

The interior is going to be near to what it was from the factory. The only changes will be the seat cover and improved sound insulation. I have adapted the 4l60e to a column shift in the past so it will stay. I am still not sure about the gauges, but I would like to adapt electronic drives to work in the stock cluster. I have found temp, volt, and fuel drives that should work but the speedometer is a challenge because of its long nearly horizontal sweep. It may end up using an ultraguage until I can get that worked out.

We finished getting the rear shocks in and tucked the front bumper. My dad bought the air shocks when he thought we were keeping the stock axle and could not return them. Its not ideal but we got it to work, and I guess they will be nice with a really heavy load. I still need to finish and clean up some welds as well as paint a couple things.

Posted this in the garage but traffic seems a bit slow there.

I pulled the trans off today to give it one last cleaning before going in for the last time. I noticed a couple chips of metal on the converter snout and suspect my Dad may have damaged the front pump when mating it to the motor.

The pump assembly is out of the case, but I really dont know where to go from here. Can anyone offer insight into separating the housing to remove the rotor or recommend someone in the area to have a look at it?

Thanks to woods transmission I got the pump rotor sorted out and the motor back in the truck after cleaning. We spent a good bit of time modifying the forward cab mount support so we can drop the crossmember with the motor attached. Also ended up having the change the rear cab mount support beam to clear the driveshaft.

The rear portion of the fuel system is done and the rest will be finished once I have bends to work out the exhaust path.

I could not find a good solution for the horizontal sweep speedometer so we ordered a whole new set. They are going to be mounted in the stock surround with a piece of polycarbonate over everything to to appear somewhat stock. Could anyone help me out with having the gauge surround CNC routed or laser cut?

We ran the chassis harness down the rails and installed the engine harness with PCM last weekend. Also had some 10x1.0 bubble to 3/16 flare brake lines made along with the power steering hose. I finished the lower radiator mounts and a majority of the column today. I need to chop a couple inches from the stock shaft and pin/weld the DD section to it then its done. The upper radiator mounts will be completed once we mount the clip and shave down the big hump above it.

I got the steering worked out this evening. The telescoping portion is required because we retained the factory rubber subframe mounts.
