    Yes it is

Sixteen gallon from I think the first generation cars. They are cheap and fit between these old truck frames nicely.

That is the plan for now. All of the fenders have the same type of sign painting on them.

It would be nice if there was more of the original black left behind.

I have not been around, but my Dad finished the seat, and got the rear axle bolted in to test fit the tires and measure for wheels. We wanted something a bit taller and wider than stock so I found some 235/85/16 and 235/70/16 to test fit with. I am liking the 85 in the rear, but doubt it will work in the front. We should know in a couple days when my dad finishes getting the motor back together and the crossmember in again. He also cleaned up the motor, replaced seals, oil pump, oil pan (LH8), and pulled the heads to do lifters w/trays. The heads will be getting new valve seals and maybe some new springs.

I talked to a couple wheel companies today and it looks like we are going to end up with the stockton wheel henry 36 in a 16x8 with stock ford caps.

It should settle a couple inches more than is shown here under full weight.

Its at his place, and I travel back to Dallas to help when I can. I do all of the parts selection/planning along with the heavy fabrication. Everything else we work out over the phone and he gets it done.

I also found a bed crane/hoist that should be the right diameter to slip into the mount you see welded to the bumper. Some of the painted advertising mentions tractor tires so I assume it was originally installed move those or 55# drums into the bed.

The motor is now in and my dad finished up the front shock mounts. All of the wheels showed up and he plans to paint them in the next few days.
Not sure what he spilled all over the garage, but it looks like a mess.

The wheels were painted over the weekend. A 2wd trailblazer driveshaft ended up being the proper length so that is done, and was cheap. The fender liners were trimmed for the shock mounts, and a majority of the sound insulation installed. We need a piece machined to complete the steering but that should happen within the week.

Hopefully I can have some images with it one the ground soon.

do you mind if I ask what you paid for the 55 initially? I'm curious.
