I love gassers, but I could not cut up that car. It is way too nice. Bag it and put some chrome steelies with spider caps on it.

Where do you think I got the lower half of my Gasser pic? I read through his entire build.

I think it looks great as is, I personally would build a v8 for it before doing any more appearance mods. It wouldn't have to be anything crazy, being that this is your blvd. cruiser, but a v8 with a mild exhaust is a must.

                    A built 300ci I6 would be cool...

Does Offy still make the intake kit that runs 2 or 3 stock carbs? I'd try to find that, get a split header and leave that 6 in there. Nothing wrong with a cool inline for motivation.

I'd love to but they are too tall and too long. I'd have to drop the motor down, (if the steering would even let me) cut a hole in the hood, move the firewall back and flip the radiator forward of the core support.

Until the 250, the intake was cast as part of the head. You can machine it to except stuff but there is no room for better flow.

Now, if you go to a 250, the Aussie's have a butt load of cool stuff.

That's the thought for my brother's 66 Coupe. The 200 has a pretty stout bottom end.

Guy that races lemons in cali has one in a fairmont futura, they ran two laps in 2nd gear (C4) before the engine came apart, tach was at 8k+ at the end of the straight. He had an early cam, home made a split header, and milled the head to run a two barrel carb. Driver oops'ed and dropped the shifter one too many when he went out for the start of the day.

Current stance looks good, i would just beef the suspension up and work on the drivetrain.
