Will you have your t5 (lol!) rebuilt with stronger parts, or will you put in a tko or some such?

Stock replacement for now and start getting ready for something stronger.

I was hoping it would last longer. :/

Spun hard in 3rd then, BOoM!

Ive never been able to make a T5 last on any modded Fox I had. Freakin do gears, exhaust and HCI and within a week would kill second or third and make 5th just seem to dissapear.

            TKO yo.

5th and reverse pulled Houdini on my T5 in my ranger a few weeks ago
Sad part is it's a 2.3l and T5 is my only option besides the c4 I have sitting in my garage. I'd like to stay stick.

I liked my 3550/tri-ax shifter with h/c/I making 305 horse. It withstood years of abuse. Not sure why I chose it over the TKO besides price.

It's a direct fit I believe, still has a 10 spline input shaft so you can use a stock clutch.

                    I think ^

that and the 3550 shifts a LOT smoother than the TKOs do... I had an old one that Father Ford is still using now, that withheld 700 rw for years... Only reason I sold it was I was worried it was going to break and bought a TKO 500 when they came out.

X1 million. I owned 1 tko 600 and ill never own one again.

I guess i got lucky with my old t5. 233k miles on it and launched from 5500 on slicks a hundred times and never hurt it. Low 7's.

It was weird, it broke loose in 2nd so I threw it in 3rd and i guess it caught grip because it exploded right as I let out of the clutch.

3rd gear is a common place for them to let go.

Also if youre spinning, peddle it a little. Going to the next gear is gonna bog it down a lot.
