  • Well the CG is a bit lower now. 2/3 drop via spindles and rear leafs. Thanks to z06killinsbf. I haven't gotten to drive it yet, I will pick it up tomorrow. I am hoping for a little better handling and a little increase in mpg's. It DEFINITELY needs wheels now!

      • It rides pretty nice, I think you'll enjoy it once the other goodies are on.

        • I need to get the rear bar set up ( I wonder if it will convert over to the 8.8 ) and get the front upper and lower arms done....another $500 or so

          • The ride to work is a little bit more fun now. I definitely need to remove the bump stops in the rear!

            • I am having second thoughts on the saw blades...Any other recommendations? GM factory or not. Would like to stay under $1k I kind of like the C6 ZR1's as well...

                • Sawblades. Or a fat five style wheel. But you can't go under 17s and 20s will be too much for the fitment you need. Look at caddy CTSv wheels maybe??

They are a little too much like C5 Z06 wheels which I don't care for on these trucks. There is a pretty good deal on like new saw blades on craigslist. Just wheels, no tires. I need to call and see what the widths are. I am thinking 17x8.5 in the front and 17x9.5 in the rear if I go with sawblades

                        • Going to push the wheels off for a bit. Just ordered a set of tubular uppers. I developed a pop in the front suspension. I already have a set of fresh (<5k miles) LCA's. I wish they had tall ball joints installed already, not sure if I will do that mod or not.

I ordered a set of UB Machine arms that were developed for these trucks utilizing the tall upper ball joint. The arms I ordered have a plate to accept a c-10 ball joint wich is 3/8" taller than factory. The aftermarket tall ball joints available are $50 each. The C-10's are a bit bulkier and much cheaper. I doubt the 1/8th inch is going to make much difference. The taller ball joint helps to correct some suspension geometry issues.

                          • After the first fill up and full tank after the drop I got 26 mpg. A full 2 mpg increase. Changed the oil and cleaned the air filter last weekend. Hopefulle it maintains that 26 mpg
