  • New crawler - For the RC Guys

Here's my new GMade R1. I have about 11 hours in the build. I figured I'd get some mediocre shots of it before I beat on it. My body will be back from Canon next week, so I had to make a small point and shoot and available light work.

Make & Model: GMade R1 (Kit)
    Motor: Venom Fireball 50T
    ESC: Castle SV2
    Servo: Towerpro 200 oz/tq
    Tires: Hot Bodies Rover
Wheels: Gmade beadlocks with 8 oz of weight in front.

Misc: Gmade low cg servo mount, Gmade front axle plate for additional weight if necessary, Gmade front axle skid plate (not shown), Gmade hi-clearance lower links, Delrin skid plate (triangulates lower links).

My EXO kit should be here tomorrow.

Nothing cool as far as a car goes, but if you want photos of your ride...I can handle that. Check out my Facebook page if you're bored.

Springs? Where we're going, we won't need Springs...

usually in the shock bodies.... unless he is going sans springs to go with a droop suspension setup for flex.

Correct. These can be setup sprung or droop. I have it sprung, but I could swap it to droop in a matter of minutes if I wanted. Pretty cool feature in these shocks.

                  Here's a diagram/video on their site.

$615 to my front door. Keep in mind that's with all the extra goodies plus I had to buy electronics. You could get one running for around $400 assuming you don't have any spare electronics. The base kit is $250. You can spend $290 for an assembled model.

Yeah you can find them on RCCrawler or on Ebay for decent prices. I found one on eBay just now for $425. New is a personal preference for me unless I know the person who owned it before.
