Dealing with bodyshops is always a pain in the ass. They always take too long, cost too much, and deliver work that you're not happy with. But remember this is a two-way street, and from a shop owner's perspective, it's customers that are a pain in the ass, expect the work done too soon, are cheapasses, and are too picky.

Lol...guess that is correct in some aspect! Just wish there was a happy medium. If you pay the "asking price" and pay on time, then maybe the work should be done on time and done to the level that the job was bid. But it seems like some sell their skills and talk about how they prefer to "go down to the shell and start from scratch". Then decide, "this is more work than I want to tackle". I always try to nicely remind him..."But wait, you are the one that talked me into taking the project to this level. I seem to recall wanting a decent driver paint job and you said it would not be much difference in cost or labor to do it right"....

It's all good though. I got two cars that are pretty close to done. Just thought I would have 4-5 to that point by now. Just takes some of the fun out of shopping for projects when you know the hassle of finding someone to paint.
