Pics bring back good and bad memories. I'm originally from the Somerset area.
Bad:Used to have to haul the snowblower up on the garage roof to keep it from collapsing from the snow/ice accumulations.

Good: all the secondary roads are designated snowmobile roads, so I did a lot of trips on the old Polaris 440TX.

Whereabouts? I've never been on ski's or a snowboard but I'm sure I can find an innertube somewhere. Or an old junky couch lol. I can see that turning out real well.

I lived about 20 miles north of Somerset in a place called Benson. it wasn't too uncommon to get/have over 40" of snow on the ground. We used to run the sleds from my cousin's place up to Seven Springs via both back roads and the powerline cuts. Good deer hunting also.

You get to do any ice fishing up there? I always wanted to try that.

I haven't been personally, but I hear of it especially up near Eerie.
