It's a cool swap but aren't those things like 5k lb? With dumping the heavy v8 it'll lose some lbs. but still. I don't think 300HP is enough to move that thing. Plus all the extra crap you'll have to fix on it.
It's a sleeper for sure but I think I'd rather have something else for 5k.

Those were always FWD econoboxes in the 80's and up. Little 3.1 V6 and four bangers with maybe 100 hp.Good judgment comes from bad decisions and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.

We have this silly K car. Ron is rebuilding the engine. We are racing it at CMP for the season opener all girl team. I have a vision of the K car getting passed around for the season. It's free. Come get it.
Race it and give it to someone for the next race. It must be passed on to another team after you race it.
It has a title if you're into that sort of thing..
First come, first screwed.
bhorribleawesome as to make it a turbo k-wagon race car, it would be the cheapest buy in you would ever have. ONly stipulation is that the car keeps getting passed on, in same shape or better than you get it."If I asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses." - Henry Ford

There must be a reason everyone passes on this "bargain." The guy that built it tried to sell it for nearly a year starting at around $9K! Then the price dropped, and dropped, and dropped, until finally this current owner bought it. This guy didn't have the car long before he decided to sell and now, like before, has been for sale for months.
Like cooter, I was tempted by it, but looking back I'm glad I didn't buy.

Reminds me of my old wagon.
242 hp and 292 ft lbs to the wheels at only 10 psi. When it got traction it pulled pretty good because it only weighed 2700 pounds. On 8 psi it ran a 13.9 @ 103 mph. I hated selling it.Annoying people, one post at a time!
