  • Helicopter pig shoot from last week

We had a helicopter out in hearne, tx last week. We flew part of 16k acres and killed roughly 135-150 pigs. There was some good shooting and some bad shooting and I wasn't shy to put some of the bad stuff in the video, lol. I had multiple gopros on multiple weapons.

My guess is that's blood or dirt ripped up. Get them in the ass or spine and they drag their rear legs into the dirt until they go down.

Pewter, you guys must have to bring quite a bit of ammo on board. I'm surprised a rotax can carry that much.

I have similar sentiments, but when you're dealing with 16,000 acres and ~150 pigs, imagine the logistical nightmare of finding and collecting all of those bodies. It would take 10x the people and time to do.

I'm guessing the buzzard population in Hearne quadrupled. Saw a busload of them headed down I45... ;-)

It is better than the hogs defecate in the water supply and get your livestock sick. Filthy animals. Also 1 hell of a problem for ranchers.

Most of the time, the meat is picked up and donated to shelters.

I thought your complaint was the logistics of finding them. I bet lots of people would take one or two to clean. I would, just to video my wife's coronary.

I sure wish I had the "problem" of having 16k acres.
