I made several partial passes as we chased an electrical gremlin all day. It actually made 20lbs of boost. When we finally got the gremlin killed, I tried to launch at 4000 of the tbrake and BOOM - Game Over.

Car weighs 3600 and it was a stock 9" case. They are strong, but I was asking a lot. I knew it wasn't going to live with the new combo, but I was hoping for more than one day. I guess a track that was dead hooking and brand new drag radials were more than it wanted.

Ordered a Moser Nodular case, pinion support and a new gear. The axles are already Moser. Should have it Wednesday. Put it back together and make test session on Friday night. If all goes well there I will be running the True Street Shootout in Wichita on Saturday.

Nice! Sorry about the rear end, but sometimes you just need an excuse to upgrade.

Yeah, I knew it wasn't going to take the abuse so I wasn't surprised. Luckily it didn't take the locker with it.

Yes, Windsor based 427. All forged internals with a girdled stock block.

Got the rear end all put back together and did some shake down cruising with no issues. Here's a little video I shot of it warming up in the driveway.
