Shit, Id walk over and hug someone that hit me, Its insured for a good amount, but the market is pretty weak on them at the moment.

My only problem is a place to put it. It's a damn semi, it isn't going to fit in my driveway, and any HOA is going to shit bricks if you park that thing outside. It would be awesome for trails, but the problem is the thing is so fucking huge you can't do any trails in this area with it. You'l be stuck between trees, breaking the windshield on branches, etc.
That's a pretty good head start on having a hookup with some knowledge. From the reading I've done, they require a lot of maintenance, something like all the wheel bearings have to be greased every 500 miles or something like that. You're limited to much slower speeds on the highway. It's pretty badass that they'll run on any type of fuel though.

Yeah, they only go about 55-60mph. You want to take it to the lease, or to a trail? How the hell are you getting in there? Gotta hold up traffic everywhere you go, haha. I've had one military vehicle, and I'm not doing that again.

It's not so much the money as it is all the time and effort I've put into it. I'd be really fucking upset if something happened to the car after I got it finished to the point to where I want it.

My only issue with a bobbed Duece is that, although they look cool, it would do little more for me than a normal truck would. Then you have the same issues that CJ mentions, as far as size, storage, etc.

I would want a 6x6 with a box on back. Would make for an awesome "camper" / bug out type vehicle.

No electronics, runs on just about any anything. Fords some deep ass water... I have been perusing the GL auctions lately and surfing on Steel Soldiers. Maybe I'll pick one up at some point. Not until we own a little more land though, so I would have a place for it.

I want one to drive around town on the weekends. Bobbed, and I even have a place to keep one. Just need the cash...

They're not all that expensive if you get it at the GL auction and bob it yourself.. And most of them are sold in running condition. And you have the potential to make some good money off them. You can get $20k plus on a good bobbed Duece.

You can get an old deuce for cheap. The newer retrofitted/later production multi-fuel turbo diesel motors are usually more expensive though. Either way very cheap.

Buddy of mine picked up one for $1700, whistler multifueler. Im seriously considering doing it one day, but it will be after I have decided to part with the 69. That ties up the majority of the "fun money" for me.

That is stupid ass cheap, it had to have been damaged, non-op, or SOMETHING. If not that's incredible. I usually see them going for 3-5k.

yeah me too. I dont know the whole story on the deal, but there was a discount due to the seller (auction?) putting the wrong picture on the sale page for the one he bought, but I have no idea how much it was. It was supposed to have the canopy and such, but was fairly stripped when they got there.
