    • I'm a service electrician. I do everything from plugs in a house to controls for motors.

Here some examples of crap I had to go fix. This is why a maintenance men shouldn't try to be an electrician

Look at the B phase (C-clamps)

This is a feeder coming off a pole mounted utility transformer. Exposed live wires not taped off arcing on the weather head. When I started to work on it the concrete anchors in the wall broke off and it fell half way down only being held on by the wires on the pole.

This is what I enjoy doing here installing TVSS and motor controls.

I've seen some rigged stuff from pumpers out in the field, but that is a new one lol. We have had some wedge a stick between the edge of the panel and the starter to hold a size 3 480v starter in that kept tripping out on OL

That's part of the computer/radio system, I don't work on that stuff but ironically have to fix some of their electrical fuck ups when it cause's problems with the vehicle systems or my system. The ground is just to keep things close the lone wire going the other way goes to a solid chassis ground since the plate everything is mounted on is removable.

Also about the same amount of wiring up front for things like camera, flashlight and other various police junk they think they need.

Edit: All of this is in one of the new Ford Exploder police interceptors, it has been a slow learning process after being so used to the CV's.

                        • I go into quarries, power generation facilities, coal mines, ect. & install/maint. conveyor systems and their components. Here's a few pictures from our most recent job.

My first view of the day.

Old belt pulled off system & vulcanizer put in place.

New roll (22,000#) being lifted into place & held with the crane to be strung onto system.

New belt is on system and ready to be prepared for vulcanizing endless.

Oh shit!! What the hell did they do to that system?

And the best part of the day, dinner on the customers dime.

What company do you work for? Im with Exterran now. What gets me is when a compressor gets slugged with water or salt and the operator/pumper tells me ¨The water/salt didnt come from the pipeline¨ or ¨I dont know where the water/salt came from¨. Iv told several of them that compressors make produce salt or water and they just look at me like Im the idiot.
