Then we took off toward Ventura County. Dad wanted to drive Mulholland Drive, just like Steve McQueen and James Dean. Except instead of driving an XKSS or 550 Spyder, he was in a little shitbox. lol

Then we headed down PCH to Malibu, just in time for a killer sunset.

Then we handed the camera to a stranger to get us in the same picture, and of course it's blurry and full of power lines. lol

I made him ride the roller coaster at the Santa Monica pier. He's scared of heights so this was kind of a big deal.

Then we drove to Huntington Beach and checked out the pier.

Got up the next morning and went to Hollywood for Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles. Didn't get any pics of that but damn it was good! Then got a pic with the sign.

Then we went to Beverly Hills and walked up and down Rodeo Drive.

It was pretty fucking boring actually, so we got back in and headed to Barris Kustom City.

I started talking to George Barris' son Brett. He was a little surprised that some random dude off the street knew so much of the stuff that his dad had done. I even knew his mother's name, lol. So he kinda gave us a tour of the place.

This is George's Prius. Yes, I'm serious. The guy that drew up the Hirohata and Matranga Mercurys drives this thing to work. smfh

Then I got to sit and talk with George himself for a few minutes. He's still sharp as a tack. Kind of grumpy though, lol. He signed a couple of shirts for us.

We stopped off for donuts, then popped the rear door and ate em. Then it was time to head back to LAX. It was an awesome trip!

Awesome, Danny! That line of Rally cars reminds me of the original Gone in Sixty Seconds for some reason. lol

                          Detomaso(sp?) Pantera I think...
"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." - Thomas Jefferson, 1776

Panteras typical had a wedge nose and pop up lights so I don't think so.
