Started new project

Ive always wanted one for some reason and finally decided to get one. Its in near mint condition and I got a great deal. I think it would be cool in my gameroom.

The previous owner spray painted it gold for some reason, so first step is removing that. I took off the bolts on bottom today and am going to replace them with new ones.

I want to paint it red but was thinking of doing the caps on side and top another color? Any ideas on a good paint scheme?

Just clean all that paint off all the way before you paint it.

I had a customer buy one and put it in the backyard for his dog's. I thought that was pretty neat even though his dog's are females.

I forget what town it was (Luling maybe?), but back in the day we'd drive through there and they had all of their hydrants painted like little men, women, etc.
