my stepmom's dad was a nose gunner on a PBM5A Mariner in the Pacific and in the Korean war and had some pretty cool stories from those days.

Those are PBY Catalinas, btw, not Coronados like your picture. you can tell by the single vertical stabilizer.

What's now Kenneth Copeland Airport (the Douchebag Televangelist's private airport) used to be a Navy Seaplane base. If you go north on Boat Club rd you can see it with high fences and all.

If you overfly it you can still see the ramps where they used to take the birds in and out of the water.
