It's a NICE ride. I don't think there is a better sedan out there on the market for anywhere close to the $40k street price.
I drove it for a few minutes yesterday. Strong, smooth power from the 5.0 and the 8-speed auto shifts almost seamlessly in the background. Suspension is on the firm side, interior is nicely done, exterior looks great.
I'm glad I steered him to the V8 model Genesis a few years ago. He's hooked on the smooth, effortless power now.

Again, that is what I was told by this local guy. Sounds weird and I'm surprised Hyundai couldn't (or maybe wouldn't?) overcome this technical obstacle, but for whatever reason they haven't.
A stout 6-speed manual strapped to the 429hp 5.0 engine in the Coupe for around $40k would be a sweet alternative to the Mustang GT and Camaro SS.Ford

I didn't understand the specifics, but apparently the computer for the V8 that works for the sedan does not work AT ALL for the coupe. This guy said Millen tried to shoehorn the V8 into the Coupe and couldn't get the computers to talk and apparently even a few Hyundai engineers flew out to help. It just didn't work at all.

Yep, that's the guy. The swap did look very clean and the car looked clean too with a nice subtle exhaust. Of course, it still sounded sweet when he started it because you were hearing a sound that shouldn't be coming out of a Hyundai.Ford
