Never really paid much attention to those year models until recently for some reason. Really cool score. Am I reading between the lines correctly that he gave it to you? That's a hell of a gift!

they're really neat cars. When i was a kid, we had a 69 427 tripower 400hp 4 speed hard top convertible. LeMans Blue with black interior. After that we had a rally red with black interior 68 hardtop convertible with a 350hp 327 4 speed.

More or less, he has a chevy truck i am fixing for him, but yeah. Told me he wants to hand it down to someone that will appreciate it and fix it up the way it needs to be.. He knew my dad since they were like 10 yrs old, so 40 years now. And since my dad's passing a couple years ago, he thought i would be a good person to give it to. I plan to just keep it simple and fix only the things that need to be like the seats, few suspension and brake parts and maybe one day add a vintage air system since the air pieces are all gone. pretty excited about it, hopefully either this weekend or next weekend i plan to go pick it up and bring it home. Ill post better pics then, after a nice bath.. hehe

I've done 4 of those in the last few years. If you need anything done that you don't want to tackle send me a pm. I just finished a '70 big block 4speed convert. Did all of the f&r suspension, painted the frame, new exhaust and cleaned the bottom of the car. Painting the body later this year.

might hit you up once i start to tear into it. I can handle everything but the paint and body work. i dont have the pocket to make it show car worthy but do want to make it reasonable and fun.

How much you want for it? I'll give you what you've got in it, $150.00 and a kiss on the lips from any 2 board members of your choosing.

You'd be surprised at how paint can shine back up.

funny how these pics usually always have a beer can/bottle in them.. hehe

Yeah I'm gonna wash and wax it really good, but there are some chips in it, and who ever painted it before did not take it down so there is a good amount of build up in areas. The car was originally daytona yellow. I plan to eventually put it back to its original color.
