I've had a four wheel drive d d for last ten years. I can count times on both hands I had to use it. The rest where for fun. Diesels suck off road anyway. I sunk my last two in my pasture when I know my 2wd gas burner would've been fine. The front end will hit the axle before you spin the rear tires

How you liking it now that it's been a few months? I still really like these trucks every time I see one out on the road...I love how quiet they are too.

Im really liking the truck...there are a few annoying things about them though mostly due to all the new fancy emissions crap. I got a "check coolant additive" message. Apparently this thing will come on every 15k and you are supposed to do some type of test on both coolant systems. It uses some fancy coolant that you cant just buy at the auto parts store. Havent had to fill up the DEF yet but that is another annoying thing to deal with.

Mileage is about 18mpg with a 50/50 mix hand calculated. The computer says about 19mpg. The worst tank was 16mpg doing 80mph almost the whole way up from Houston and had an hour wait sitting on a shut down highway.

You can clear the coolant additive message on the on-screen comp. I read that at 12k it's not necessary, i'm at 13.5k and will have them worry about it on the next oil change. DEF's not a big deal either, I added a gallon a few thousand ago and haven't had the message since.

Mine shows 14.9 avg over the last 6k or so, but I've seen it climb around 19 on the highway using last 5 minutes or whatever selection. Mines 4x4 too and I run heavy tires bc of snow and rocks
