TX and Oklahoma are the only places you can get away with it.

I like 2wd trucks and I've owned a lot of them, but I'm with you. I won't spend more than ~$10k or so on a 2wd truck. Resale value on 4wd is so much higher and people love 4wd "Texas trucks"

While 4x4 trucks sell better, they also cost $3k more. Out of the last 5 trucks, I had 1 4x4 and I only used 4wd ONCE. No need for it in my opinion, this is Texas.

Texas has nothing to do with it. Depends on what you use it for. I use 4wd at least twice a month average all year long.

Anyways, I'm looking for a truck now too. I love my car, but I miss my truck when I need one. SC long bed fo by fo deezel.
