Several years ago I there was 6 of us in my buddy's F250.

We were in Colorado, first thing in the morning, about 3 feet of fresh power fell overnight.. on top of the existing ice and packed snow.

We made a turn and were going down a road with some speed. Well the driver turned back to get a CD from us in the back seat and a SCHOOL BUS decides to pull out in front of us.. Like can't brake fast enough pull out in front of us..

All I can do is grunt and point, he turns around sees the we are about to hit this school bus with kids in it..

He makes a hard left and gooses that mother just out of the way.. we go off in the ditch next to the road and pull on out of there back on the road.

If we would have been in any other vehicle that was lighter, non 4x4, or without the weight of 6 adults and snowboard gear, we would have definitely slammed into that bus.

I had a new respect for F250s after that.

If there were 6 of you in the car, your buddy should have kept his damn eyes on the road and asked someone to hand him the fucking CD

It wouldn't have helped honestly.. The school bus driver didn't come to a complete stop and pulled out in front of us.. It would have been his fault.

Sucks either way, but I'd still be pissed at the driver for taking his eyes off the road in such conditions lol

Ratt you get complacent to snow up north.

Just another day. It just makes shitty drivers that much worse. The school bus driver overestimated how long it would take to stop. The driver of the f250 was also at fault for not paying attention.

I know, I lived in Tahoe. In my opinion, there is no place for complacency while driving in bad weather.
