  • Vet driving in some snow

I don't know if this has been posted but I just saw this lol. Guess this was back in 2009.

Firstly, I understand that many of you may frown upon that way the I use and drive my car. However, I bought it to enjoy it and that I do.

The car is well cared for, it just happens to be used.

It is my daily driver, has 90K miles, and is no show car.

I live in an area where snow is regular in the winter, and the vette is a much better choice than my miata to get my errands done.

Yesterday a few friends and I had a good time, and at the end of the day set up my tree.

    enjoy...or cry, whichever you prefer

Animal doctors and snow never mix well.

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

There are a few guys out there on corvette forum that do everything in their vette. They pull their jet skis, haul lumber, unbolt the hatch glass and haul big ass loads, all kinds of shit.

lol, That's a Pennsylvania D.A.R.E. plate. I saw a Mustang the other day on the freeway when it was blizzard like conditions and he was driving about 10mph. I felt bad as I passed him on the left in my 4WD truck. It's possible to drive something like that during the winter here, but it's not easy. And lots of people wreck out.

Exactly! I used my Stang vert's to haul big stuff in all the time. Hauled a 15 foot oak tree from Home Depot to the house once, barely fit the bucket in the back seat with the passenger seat folded down, but it fit good enough to get home! Hauled a shit-ton of wooden pickets to repair a fence, all sorts of shit.

Why wouldn't you? Because you paid 50k for it. You seem to be implying I'm saying something I'm not. I said a lot of guys do it, and gave examples why.

Im not implying you said anything. I was just saying that people treat corvettes like theyre some super rare expensive car. I think you read too far into my post.

He would be fucked if there was a snow drift. But as far as driving a sports car in the snow its not all that fun.

When I bought by 06 vette I got it from a dealer in Wisconsin in December. They had just had their first big snow fall about 24in just days before I flew in. I didn't get out of the snow coming back until Oklahoma. I spent the nigh in Wichita and when I got up in the morning the doors were frozen shut.
