It was near a local restaurant/bar area, and he tried to get the managers to look through the tapes of their security footage to see if he was a patron of any of those places, but no one really seemed to want to help, or they said unless something is saved, they just record-over themselves every 24-48 hours.

I doubt that. It was a nicer area, but I do understand people not wanting to chase a possible needle in a haystack for no real benefit for themselves.

So is that all it takes Mr. Tough Guy?

Actually, you wouldn't do shit. You would go home and keyboard warrior him to death in front of your Internet "friends".

You may not be a tough guy, but didn't you spend last night in a Holiday Inn?

I was lol at 21k, til I saw the miles on the rebuilt motor, but I would still want a nice C/D player and would it have killed him to have the exhaust jet hot coated when they rebuilt the motor?!

Weird exhaust. It may have been the angle and lighting, but it looks like the exhaust was cut with a pair of side cutters.

$21 is too high? I just don't know the values. Homeboy could have at least stuck a stereo in there.

SC values are finally starting to get weird and stupid like the rest of the 911 range. For the longest time they were the cheap, moderately reliable, sensible pick of 911s.

That said, that's not a $21k car. Yes, the rebuilt motor is nice to have, but the 3.0L is one of the cheaper 911 motors to rebuild and the rest of the car looks to have some needs. The exhaust is a perfect example of that: the new motor and transmission are great, but he cut corners putting it all back in.

Also, his claim that an SC restored to "this level" go for $30k is a little dubious. A perfectly restored SC would struggle to hit $30k. The market for SCs is in drivers, not restored cars. $18k wouldn't be unreasonable for that car, $15k would be a good deal. He won't let it go for $15k given what he spent on the rebuild, though.

I thought it was kinda of high. If I spend $21k it better have some tunes in it and not a hole in the dash with wires hanging out of it.

My thoughs exactly, you can see where he may have done it himself ala DONSVO in his apartment parking lot/garage.

Most drivers have it only for their own protection. Really isnt a bad idea with the way people drive around here anyway. Wonder where to find one that isnt $150-200?
The Loves truck stop @ 30 & 549 in Rockwall I saw had them advertised at $99 a couple of weeks ago.

But then he'd have to look at 996 headlights every day and ask himself if he accidentally bought a Boxster.
