What really pisses me off is that there were tons of people there at the scene that said they saw the whole thing and the cop told my dad as we were leaving to the hospital that he got all their info on the report. He flat out lied to us. On top of that the police report says I seen a car crossing the road and I hit my brakes and slid off the road. My wife called the police department to complain and that same cop told her that I'm real lucky I didn't get a ticket cause about 100 feet ahead it turns into 55 mph and I told him I was going 70 and I should have been slowing down. I normally don't have any problems with cops but this whole situation has just pissed me off

Contact TXDOT and see how you can either complain about the report, or amend it. I'm not exactly sure, but I think there is a way to correct your situation. I'm off for a few days and can't check from home.

This might be a good place for you to start poking around:

Yeah, so on a lighter note, Mark, spend a few minutes on the internet and educate yourself on the proper usage of "seen" vs. " saw". It will enrich your life and make you look smarter. Just sayin'.

of course you made the right decision. you work in a body shop, you know this.

hitting anything dead on, even if you are in a volvo, at 70 means you will probably be breathing through a tube for a week.

Sad to see a great car like that end up upside down.

Seven Points explains everything. Guarantee that it was some uninsured meth head over there and the corrupt good ol boy cops are useless unless there is a ticket to be written. Seven Points and Gun Barrel City are both shit holes, I try to stay out of those areas.

Gun Barrel City.. lol. I remember driving my car over a wooden *bridge*(term used VERY loosely) that looked like it was built during the Civil War. It was basically two railroad ties 6 feet apart for the tires and some bracing. That was an adventure.

Used to drive right through there 6 days a week when I worked in Gun Barrel and had to drive from Corsicana. Lots of idiots right where you were. Get over the bridge and into Gun Barrel and it wasnt so bad but that area right there sucked.

Gun Barrel is still a shit hole, just the drug money helped to build it up. There was a fucking casino over there for the longest time, it may still be active.
