I wonder if thats the same vid where that same russian helicopter getting hit with the rpg. Looks like he's auto'n down then kaboom. RIP

I know which video you are talking about and no, this is a video of a different helicopter being shot down. I saw another angle of video you are referring to and that aircraft finally smacked the ground pretty hard and went up in smoke. I think it was hit with some kind of guided missile. I highly doubt anyone could hit even a slow moving helicopter that was more than a few hundred meters away with an RPG and that one was way up in the air moving fast.

This Mi8 being shot down was filmed in Syria and it must have been carrying munitions. Even if it has several hundred gallons of gasoline on board it wouldn't have gone off like that. I just can't imagine what it was loaded with to go off with that big of a bang. About the only thing left was a part of the main rotor and the rest was just gone...
