I call bs on that story. No way you got robbed for $1000 and sent your mom and sister to collect. Yet in this instance you jumped outta your truck to confront a stranger. Biiiiitch please
I had some fucking monday cut me off over in Grand Prairie. I was in the left turn lane to get onto I20 and he came flying over from the non turn lane, nearly took the front end off from my truck. I honked at him and he flipped me the bird so I did the same. Mr tough guy got out of his truck and started walking toward me, so I opened my door and he promptly tucked tail back to his truck and left.
I am a fairly calm guy, but I wont back down to some asshole.
That's generally the way it goes with those road rage ass-holes. As soon as they see someone get up to protect themselves, they run scared.
Don't worry about what you can't change.
Do the best you can with what you have.
Be honest, even if it hurts.
"Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy; Its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery" ... Winston Churchill
I am sorry, but if you drove around calling your hood a bonnet, I would jump on your hood and punch your wind screen too. WTF? Fucked his wind mirror too.
whole time I was thinking, This dude is a puss! I saw like 20 separate chances the victim had to take the dumb ass out.
Many years ago on I-35 between Denton and Lake Dallas, I had to swerve to miss a car in my 87 F-150. I ended up cutting off a little red honda civic full of mondays. I rolled my window down and and waved to say I was sorry. They then pulled up next to me and the guy in the back seat showed me a gun. I promptly hit my left blinker, and used my truck to run then off the road into the center median. they slid to a stop, then floored it and started hauling ass to catch back up to me. Right as they got close I simply turned my blinker back on and they locked up their brakes and dropped back about 200 yards.

The victim is a former police officer. I guess the cops over there are pussies too?
That was my thought as well, that his years as leo has tempered his emotional response, and he fully understands the potential world of shit he could be in if he ran the guy over.

I couldn't believe that he's a former cop. That's pathetic.
I'm no super bad ass or anything, but if I'm driving a bigger truck than that guy, with a big cattle pusher on the front of it, and he has already put a bunch of dents in it from ramming me.... I'd go straight up demolition derby on his ass.
I mean fuck, when that guy started to get out of the truck he should have pulled forward and pinned the fucker in. That former cop had plenty of chance to end the situation and decided to keep running. Give me a break.
"You wouldn't know what crazy was if Charles Manson was eating Fruit Loops on your front porch"
This was in Australia. If he had taken any of those "chances" to take the guy out, he'd probably spend the rest of his life behind bars, or get a lengthy sentence. This didn't happen in Texas.
He's a former cop, he knew the system would come after him.
